Cassettes were the preferred medium for trading when I first got into Phish. In a way, I wish they still were. Nothing beats an analog cassette. If recorded well it will last for a long time. As an added bonus it will wear like a fine pair of jeans - just getting more personalized with glitches, fades, that beautiful developed hizz only few truly appreciate. Not to mention accidental hits of the 'Record' button and that time your buddy spilled Pepsi on 8.29.87, but still got it to play.

I recently received two old elementary school card catalogs, both standup and desktop. Perfect for my Maxell XLIIs !

In tribute, my next dozen or so posts will be from my tape archives. I'll review some of my favorite sets, some simply epic shows, and probably visit some sun.faded set.lists I have forgotten about.
